 Re-elect a County Treasurer with over 30 years of accounting, financial and investment background coupled with experience as a teacher, businessman and volunteer to best serve the people of Centre County.

Professional Experience:

  • Current Centre County Treasurer, 2000 – Present
  • South Hills School of Business & Technology, State College, PA: Accounting Instructor; Accounting Department Chairman; Director of Admissions 1979-99

Achievements and Highlights in Office:

  • Investment earnings totaling over $3.2 million during the past five years on the short term investment of General Fund monies that would otherwise be temporarily idle. This amounts to a potential tax savings of more than one mill of tax on each taxable parcel in Centre County in 2010.
  • Created and implemented a system for electronically tracking dog licenses issued in Centre County. This information is shared with the Emergency Communications Department, to be referenced by the various Dog Law Enforcement Officers throughout the county, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Computerized the record keeping for the sale of various licenses and the related reporting to the state agencies.
  • Implemented an automated, web-based point of sale licensing system for the sale of fishing and hunting licenses to the public.
  • Ongoing implementation of computers into all phases of the Treasurer’s office to increase efficiency and productivity.
